Right now our David Rothstein is part of a House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight hearing on the new IRS rules regarding paid tax preparers. The focus of the hearing is on reviewing the new requirements on paid return preparers, assessing progress made by the IRS in preparing and implementing a program work plan, and understanding how this will ultimately impact the tax return preparer community and taxpayers. David appears to be the only witness focused on the taxpayer side of the equation and there are four representatives from the preparer community.
